Obituary

WALTER GLEN PARKS, 73 of Airville, PA, died on Sunday, September 22, 2019 in his home. Married for 31 years at the time of her death, he was the beloved husband of Darlene Suitt Parks.

The only child of the late Walter Hughes Parks and Alice Laura (Matthews) Parks, he was born on July 14, 1946 in Havre de Grace, MD, attended the former Lower Chanceford School before graduating in 1965 from Red Lion Area High School. Glen was strong in his Christian faith and had been a long time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he had served as an usher and with the Bible Assembly Ministry where he assembled and shipped scripture portions worldwide.

Glen was known to have a quiet personality and gentle spirit. He enjoyed watching western movies and the Hallmark Channel family programing. He frequented car shows in earlier years and was very fond of his new grandsons.

He is survived by:

Jason Parks and Jenny Parks
Matthew Parks and his wife, Anna of Airville, PA

Two grandsons-Andrew Kreider and Jackson Parks

Dear Family, We have only known your dad through Kevin's marriage to Samantha, but if a man is to be judged by his children, your dad was a fine man. Glenn & Pat Kreider

We grew up together amongst the beautiful trees of southeast Pennsylvania. It just seems fitting to dedicate a new one in your honor.
