Life Story for Richard A. Anderson
RICHARD A. ANDERSON, age 88 years of Largo, FL and formerly of Lindenwold, NJ
went to the Lord at 6:26 pm on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Pinellas Park, FL. He was the husband of Florence A. (Rickards) Anderson and they observed their 41st. wedding anniversary on September 3, 2018. His first wife, Gladys E. (Heim) Anderson died on December 3, 1976.
Rich was born in Yeadon, PA on December 18, 1930 the only child of Russell and Mary Jane (Pierce) Anderson. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 with a significant amount of time spent aboard the USS Charles H. Roan.
He retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglass in Barrington, NJ in 1986 where he was the supervisor of the tile division. Rich and Flo moved to Largo from Lindenwold in 1987.
Richard knew Christ as his personal Savior.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters:
Anita Wright and her husband, Charles David of North Wildwood, NJ
Adrienne Anderson of Clearwater, FL
Graveside funeral service and interment with military honors will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Woodbury Memorial Park, 879 Kings Hwy, West Deptford, NJ 08096.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater FL 33760.
