Obituary for Jessie E. Graver

Jessie E. Graver, 88, of Whiteford, MD, died on Thursday, November 1, 2018 in Forest Hill Rehab Center, Forest Hill, MD. Born December 27, 1929 in Esty, WV, she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Annette (Freil) Blake. She was the beloved wife of George W. Graver who passed in June 1997.

A love for canning, Jessie tended her vegetable gardens and flower beds. Jessie also couldn’t wait to prepare Sunday meals for her loved ones every week. With holidays just around the corner, Jessie held Christmas close to her heart and found great joy in driving around towns to see all the Christmas lights. A huge Orioles fan, some of her additional pastimes where playing BINGO with her family, watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and enjoying the company of her miniature Jack Russell terrier, Peanut. Spending time with her family was one of her greatest joys in life

Seven great-great grandchildren; Jasmine, Maranda, Lexy, Isiah, Cyrus, Daisy, Chloe

She was preceded in death by:
Her daughter, Deborah Brown, five siblings, Carroll Blake, Mable Boyce, Ralph Blake, Jewel Blake, Ruth Kilgore and one grandson, Justin Testerman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 6 to 8, at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA where the funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. Pastor Chris Starr from Mt. Zion Baptist Church-Brogue will officiate where interment will be held in Mt. Vernon, Whiteford, MD. Funeral staff will be outside during all services to assist with parking as well as handicap needs.
