Life Story for Edward G. Winesett

Edward G.  Winesett
EDWARD GERALD WINESETT, age 69 years, died on Thursday, August 30, 2012 in his home in Whiteford, Maryland. He was the husband of Naomi Knight Winesett who died in 2011.

Born on September 6, 1942 in Woodlawn, VA, he was a son of the late Edward M. and Berna (Smythers) Winesett. Graduating from high school in Woodlawn, VA, Mr. Winesett had worked as a barber for the Aberdeen Proving Ground and part time for Beards Hill Barber Shop in Aberdeen, MD.

Recently at his home lodge, Esdraelon #176 A.F. & A.M.in Cardiff, MD, he was honored as Mason of the Year for the Grand Lodge of Maryland and had served as Worshipful Master for his lodge in 1979.
Mr. Winesett loved and raised registered beagles and was a member of the Raccoon Club of Maryland, Darlington.

He is survived by:
A son, Bryan G. Winesett of Whiteford, MD

Granddaughters-
Erin Denbow and her husband, Mike of Whiteford, MD
Kalynne Winesett of Whiteford, MD and her fiancé, Jeff Klingler

Great grandson, Logan Hill

He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Rakes

Visitations will be held on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, 3135 Dublin Road, Street, MD where a Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, the 4th at 11 a.m. at the church. Pastor Andrew Workman will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Randow, Bill Mattlin, John Ayres, Jim Scott, Dennis Booth and Dean Winesett with interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate memorial contributions to Esdraelon Lodge #176, C/O Mr. Charles Ramsey, 3527 Level Road, Churchville, MD 21028.
