Life Story for Mary Jane Summers

Mary Jane  Summers
MARY JANE SUMMERS, age 80 years of Brogue, PA died at the home of her son in Yoe, PA where she was under hospice care. She was the wife of Charles Summers who died on February 14, 2014.
Born in Marion, VA to the late William and Loney (Childress) Leonard, she moved to York County with her family as a child. A homemaker, Mrs. Summers had worked for Barton’s Fruit Farm in Stewartstown, PA. Her generosity and pleasant spirit were known to all who knew her.

She is survived by seven children:
Rose Hutton of Sarasota, FL
Bonnie Cordwell and her husband, Tom of Brogue, PA
Terry Manahan and his wife, Teressa of Yoe, PA
Billey Manahan and his wife, Carrie of Delta, PA
Betty Warner and her husband, Brian of Glen Rock, PA
Robert Manahan and his wife, Kathy of Airville, PA
Melvina Hutton and her husband, Kevin of Dallastown, PA
She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Mrs. Summers was preceded in death by her sons, Allen Manahan and Ellsworth “Junior” Manahan.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, February 13 at 12:00 p.m. at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Rd, Havre De Grace, MD 21078.

Pastor John Waltermyer of the Tabernacle Regular Baptist Church, Brogue, PA will officiate.

Due to the unpredictable weather the service will be held in the mausoleum at the cemetery. We will then process to the graveside for the committal service.
