Life Story for Charles E. "Ducky" Daughton

Charles E. "Ducky"  Daughton
CHARLES E. “Ducky” DAUGHTON, 79 of Worthington, Ohio, died on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in his home. Born on June 28, 1938 in Pylesville, MD, he was a son of the late Charles R. and Lena A. (Rigdon) Daughton and had been employed as a special education teacher for Carroll County (MD) Public Schools until his retirement.

Ducky tirelessly volunteered with the 4-H program in Harford County and throughout Maryland doing whatever he could “for the kids.” He loved the Farm Fair, the Maryland State Fair and the Harford County 4 H Camp at the Rocks. Mr. Daughton had attended St. Mary Catholic Parish and served with the Maryland Army and Air National Guards.

He is survived by:
His wife of 47 years, Eileen M. (Klingelhofer) Daughton

His son, David R. Daughton and his wife, Jessica R. (Brayton) Daughton of Columbus, Ohio

His granddaughter, Iris A. Daughton also of Columbus

His brother, Royston E. Daughton of Port Orange, Florida

Numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilson H. Daughton

Friends and family are invited to honor Charles’ life on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the 4-H Camp, 6 Cherry Hill Road, Street, MD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Parish, 1021 St. Mary’s Road, Pylesville, MD with Reverend A. Henry Kunkel, III as celebrant.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
